Researchers estimate that the volume of data generated by humans since the beginning of history until 2003 amounted to 5 Exabytes. But this figure has doubled 500 times during 2012 to reach 2.7 Zettabyte, and we must not forget that the data will still continue to generate much larger than ever before and through multiple devices and sources.
Amid this generation of data, there is always a need for innovative new concepts and techniques to deal specifically with the magnitude of this big data.
Hence came the idea of El Data El Kebira #الداتا الكبيرة, which is displayed through Egypt Big Data Hackathon, held within the activities of Data-Driven Innovation Week. The idea is inspired by Egyptian heritage inherent operetta El Leila El Kebeera from the creative creators Salah Gahin, Sayed Mikawy and Salah El Sakka.
El Data El Kebira Exhibition will take place from 18 to 20 February at ITI Headquarter in Smart Village, Cairo.
